In September Blast Theory hosted a workshop for The Patching Zone and Translocal in Brighton, UK. This was a chance for all project partners to join together and present the progress of their individual projects.  This was also an opportunity for the partners to input directly into Blast Theory’s development.

During the workshop, Blast Theory led a session where the participants were invited to watch some film experiments and to give feedback into the strengths and weaknesses of these and suggestions of how to treat the material.  During another session the participants were invited to tell a story about unrequited love using live video streaming kits.

Blast Theory’s project, My One Demand, is a feature length film, streamed live from the streets of Toronto. The film follows 7 performers, one at a time, starting with a father emerging from Toronto General Hospital with a baby in his arms and finishing with an elderly person. Audience members are invited to interact with the film by sending messages or answers to a live voiceover. The project will take place as part of Luminato Festival in June 2015.
